“ | At the bottom of the waterfall trailing from the whirlpool in Ring 5, lies this strange cavern. The darkness of this place is lit up by the large mushrooms, and the enchanting "stars" on the ceiling. Overseen by the guardian Hezdon along with the place below here known as Silent Abyss, though their presence isn't very prevalent here. There's also signs of former life here, too... where could they have gone?

Lost River is a subrealm in Ring 5 of JToH. It contains the first canon Soul Crushing tower to be found in a subrealm and is the first canon subrealm without steeples.[a] Additionally, unlike the other canonical subrealms in the game, the towers chosen for it were old submissions on the tower whitelist rather than winners of a contest made for the subrealm itself. Within the lore, Lost River was discovered by The Creator and is governed by Hezdon, one of their four Guardians. Despite this, the Hunter itself holds little presence here, outside of a message in the Winroom giving the aforementioned information alongside the resemblance of the subrealm's emblem to that of Hezdon's. The emblem for this subrealm depicts a cresent moon from Hezdon's emblem with one cylinder inside of the hollow cylinder, similar to Hezdon's emblem itself.

Trivia
- This is one of two "whitelist dump" subrealms, the other being Ashen Towerworks. Jukecallaa confirmed that these two are most likely the only subrealms of this type, as she has no plans to add another one to the game in the future.
