Halloween Event 2021 (HE2021) was the fourth annual Halloween Event for JToH. In a deviation from the usual Halloween event formula, it added Tower Modifier Challenges to the towers in Ring 1, where players could find a hidden button in order to activate a challenge that would grant them a candy upon completion. These candies could then be spent at a shop in Ring 1 that could be redeemed for boxes that would open up into prizes upon the end of the event, similar to the presents of the Christmas Events.

However, due to the lack of progress on the traditional subrealm and 3 steeples, coupled with no boss and/or actual story to tie things together, the second phase of the event ended up being cancelled, with its assets likely being reused for Halloween Event 2022.

October 12, 2021	burgchin says that the number of Steeples in the event will remain unknown as of now.
October 19, 2021	Jukereise confirms that there is no boss for HE2021.
October 27-28, 2021	Spryvee posts the first official teaser of the event, showing a pirate ship and a dock.
October 31, 2021	Phase 1 has started. Ring 1 is now Halloween-themed, and now has 3 limited time mystery boxes, which can be bought with candies obtained from the new Tower Modifier Challenges.
November 1, 2021	New transmissions were received. In addition, something was done properly, but it is unknown if it is related to these transmissions.
November 18, 2021	Jukereise makes a comment about the event's likely cancellation.
November 23, 2021	Jukereise states that the initially-planned second part of the Halloween Event is completely cancelled.
November 25, 2021	Ring 1 is unspookified and the box redemption area is removed, but the tower modifier challenges remain so that the monthly challenge attached to it remains possible.
December 2, 2021	The tower modifier challenges are removed with the November Monthly Challenges.

Event

Ring 1 was spookified, and Tower Modifier Challenges were added to each tower (except Thanos Tower). Each challenge gave the player 1 Candy, which could be used to buy limited time mystery boxes. There were 11 candies in total, which was enough to buy all 3 boxes.

Trivia

• Progress on this event was delayed due to the Roblox outages.
• Some challenges had game-breaking bugs, allowing players to abuse the Tower of Impossible Expectations low gravity effect in the lobby, and other Towers in Ring 1, especially Thanos Tower.
• There is a hidden gravestone in Ring 1 with the name King Minol inscribed on it.
  • On the gravestone, there is a code that can be typed into the keypad hidden in Zone 5. More information on this can be found here.
• There is a secret grave of Darklaus under the Ring 1 lobby.
• The person who sells the boxes claims to be the shopkeeper's brother.
• This is currently the only event that will never be replayable in the Elevator Secret.
