Arcane Area is the subrealm for Zone 2 as well as the first permanent subrealm to be added to the game. Its Towers and Steeples came from a contest. Only the first round had rewards, while the other two rounds' winners weren't rewarded. This area features 9 steeples and 1 tower, Tower of Icy Adventures. It was released on 12 May 2020. This is the first of the two permanent subrealms in the game in which you will not have any of your items available, the other being Pit of Misery. The portal emblem for this subrealm is a hollow circle with a smaller circle inside.

Location

After beating Tower of Unearthed Discoveries, head to the portal behind the Community Culture & Group Photos building and enter the portal. You can also return to the Ring Select once you have entered the portal to AA and click the pink orb to get there without going to Zone 2.

• When you enter Arcane Area, you can see Fidjo20 sitting outside to the right of the entrance.
  • This is also the easiest Fidjo20 to find.

Arcane Area Tower Rush

To get to its current location, once you spawn, turn left. After you turn left, hug the wall until you see the ends of the walls. Then, flatwall clip, and the Arcane Area Tower Rush will be in front of you!

Contest

A contest was held for the Arcane Area towers and steeples. It was held in the JToH discord server and gave builders a chance to submit towers or steeples to win Robux. Round 1 of the Steeple section was held, and only a few steeples passed, so Round 2 was held. Only 2 steeples passed again, so another round was held, the final round in order to gather the remaining steeples. A round of the Tower section was held and provided three towers to supply both Zone 2 and Arcane Area.

Contest Prizes

The prizes were split accordingly to the number of people who collaborated together on towers and steeples.

Trivia

• This subrealm was originally planned to be the subrealm in Ring 2 but later became for Zone 2 instead.
• The requirements to enter Arcane Area used to be that you have to beat Tower of Extraterrestrial Enchantment and Tower of Arcanium Zenturing to enter, however during the final phases prior to releasing Arcane Area it was decided to change the requirements for entering Arcane Area and was changed to needing to beat Tower of Unearthed Discoveries, likely due to the fact beating 2 Intense towers to access a subrealm where most steeples were easier than Intense was unfair.
• Steeple of Overturned Travels used to be confirmed in Arcane Area but got deconfirmed due to it getting a bad re-review. Therefore, Steeple of Magical Collaborations took its place.
• This subrealm’s credits room has the most amount of people in a credits room compared to every other area in JToH. A total of 25 people are credited in the credits room.
• The Arcane Area is the first permanent subrealm to be released in the game.
• This is the first subrealm to have a Tower Rush.
• This is the first overall area of the game without a star on any towers.
• For a year, Arcane Area didn't have an emblem.
• Arcane Area used to not have Badges for the steeples, and only had a badge for beating Arcane Area.
  • On 26 May 2021, over a year after release, Arcane Area finally got badges awarded for beating the steeples there.
